South Auckland leading group business recommits to Ray White

Ten years after opening his flagship business at Ray White Manukau, Adam Thomson and his business partner Tom Rawson have recommitted to the Ray White New Zealand group after opening their fourth business, Ray White Mangere.

Ray White New Zealand’s leading property management business, 360 Property Management, based in Manukau, has also renewed its term with Ray White.

Over the last 10 years, the South Auckland market has continued to evolve with diversity and growth across the area. After opening the Ray White Manukau office in 2012, Mr. Thomson commenced business with a small but ambitious team. The business has continued to evolve into one of the leading offices for the Ray White Group internationally.

In 2016 came the addition of the Ray White Mangere Bridge office under the leadership of Jared Hards. With the business continuing to grow, Tom Rawson joined as a shareholder in 2018 to extend the leadership bench with Mr. Thomson and mentor Geoff Culley.

The opportunity to purchase Ray White Manurewa became available in 2019 and was a natural addition to the group.

In 2021 the continued growth welcomed long-term and trusted team member William Vaea to lead the new business at Mangere.

Today the business is one of the powerhouse businesses of South Auckland, with 106 team members in total across the sales and property management business.

In 2021 Ray White Manukau, Ray White Manurewa, and Ray White Mangere Bridge were entrusted with the sale of 1,555 properties, completing $1.31 billion in transactions annually with a group market share of 37.92 percent.

Ray White Manukau, Ray White Manurewa, Ray White Mangere Bridge, and Ray White Mangere are recognized as Chairman Elite status, with four offices and a property management business across South Auckland. The highest accolade a Ray White business can achieve.

Ray White New Zealand CEO Carey Smith said the recommitment of the four South Auckland offices was significant for the group.

“We are a group of performance, and Adam, together with Tom, has aligned to our group values to grow their business sustainability and provide an environment of excellence for their team members,” Mr. Smith said.

“This is demonstrated on a daily basis at Ray White Manukau, Ray White Manurewa, Ray White Mangere Bridge, and Ray White Mangere. Adam was the 2018 CEO Cup recipient, and there has been no better acknowledgment of that award than the continued growth and commitment of Adam, Tom, and their team members to Ray White New Zealand.”

Mr. Thomson said he was very proud of his association with Ray White.

“Our partnership with Ray White is extraordinary,” he said.

“It is built on trust and being a family business.”

“Our people are our business, and we continue to evolve, to make progress, to have fun, but most importantly, be a place of ambition where we can all continue to grow together.”

Mr. Rawson said the business continued to go from strength to strength.

“We concentrate on our processes and structures and ensure that our customer satisfaction is at the highest level,” Mr. Rawson said.

“We are transacting in a diverse marketplace across many different cultures and markets.”

“Our business is responsive to our marketplace, and we are proud of the continued results we achieve for our clients.”

Lead Auctioneer for Ray White New Zealand and head auctioneer for  Ray White Manukau, Ray White Manurewa, Ray White Mangere Bridge, and Ray White Mangere, Sam Steele said the team members were very agile and responsive to all market conditions.

“The team here across South Auckland is very good at marketing and providing vendors with concepts, particularly around auctions that are successful and lift their properties above others.

“It is a competitive market, and there is no better team in regard to skills on the auction floor across the markets they trade.”
